This Cookie Policy explains how Kivide uses cookies and similar technologies on kivide.com. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. Where required by law (including the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR), we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time. Analytics and marketing tags update immediately.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage for preferences (including your cookie choice) and security tokens. Some cookies are session-based; others persist for a defined period.
2. How we use cookies
Necessary — keep you signed in, protect against abuse, remember essential settings, and operate the Service. Analytics (optional) — understand aggregate traffic and product funnels via Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Loaded only after you accept analytics. Marketing (optional) — advertising or remarketing tags if enabled in the future. Off by default and only with your consent.
3. Google Analytics 4
When analytics consent is granted, we load Google's gtag.js and configure GA4 (measurement ID G-R0FXDCRRVH or the ID set in Admin). We use Google Consent Mode v2: until you accept, analytics_storage and ad_storage default to denied. IP anonymization is requested in our config. Google may process data in the United States or other regions under its terms. See Google's privacy documentation and our Privacy Policy for international transfers.
4. Consent and your controls
On your first visit we show a cookie banner. You can Accept all, Necessary only, or Customize categories. Your choice is stored in localStorage (key: kivide_cookie_consent) so we remember it on this browser. Use "Manage cookie settings" on this page, the floating control, or the site footer to change your mind. You can also clear site data in your browser.
5. Typical cookies and storage
Session / auth cookies — necessary; set by our authentication provider to keep you logged in. kivide_cookie_consent (localStorage) — stores your cookie preferences and timestamp. Affiliate referral cookie (if you arrive via a partner link) — necessary for attribution of that visit; see product affiliate terms. _ga / _ga_* (GA4) — analytics; only after consent; used by Google to distinguish visitors. _gid (GA4) — analytics; short-lived visitor distinction when GA is active.
6. Do Not Track and global privacy controls
Our banner is the primary control for optional cookies. Browser "Do Not Track" signals are not consistently implemented across sites; we honor the choice you make in our consent UI. Where a recognized Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is present in future updates, we aim to treat it as a request to reject non-essential cookies.

We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices or legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date will change when we do.
